Family Learning Project has been growing steadily throughout the year. Lots of
parents /carers have accessed computer courses at various levels. Flying High,
the internet based kite building sessions for parents and children, ran a number
of successful ‘flights’. The book clubs are always popular. Activity times
for P1 -2 runs have started up again on a weekly basis. The summer treasure
trails are really popular with children, parents and staff. This year the P2/3
class are looking at developing a Braw Lads Trail as part of a project we are
involved with through the tourist board.
Healthy
Living Network This
year we have been working in partnership with the Healthy Living Network to
raise the profile of health and health related issues throughout the school and
the community. Sessions in Keep Fit and Tai Chi help adults to keep fit and healthy. HLN also run sessions for parents on healthy lunchboxes and dealing with sex education. The school plays host to the parents group Time for Yourself where a small group of parents come and experience a range of activities they are interested in doing.
