Langlee School Aims

Curriculum

We aim to devise a broad, progressive and coherent curriculum taking account of the needs of our pupils and the principles of A Curriculum for Excellence

Attainment and Achievement

We aim to ensure that all pupils are able to realise their potential in all areas of the curriculum through the setting of challenging but attainable targets

Learning and teaching

We aim to meet the needs of all pupils through quality in the learning and teaching process, assessment process and through communication to parents

Support for pupils

We aim to provide a well-defined inclusive system of support for all pupils which meets their, academic, physical, social and emotional needs whilst appreciating their individuality and diversity.

Ethos

We aim to create a stimulating, safe and secure environment where children, parents and staff can work to their full potential, feel valued and respected regardless of race, colour, creed, disability or gender

Resources

We aim to deploy staff and resources effectively to the best of our ability within the scope of our budget

Management, Leadership and Quality Assurance

We aim to encourage a culture of supportive management that promotes a team approach and to recognise that all staff have a leadership role within the school

Health and Well Being

We aim to ensure good health in pupils and staff through strategies which promote physical and mental well being and self esteem

Values and Citizenship

We aim to prepare pupils for responsible citizenship by developing values and attitudes compatible with living in a democratic and multi cultural society

Partnerships

We aim to foster partnership between home, school and the wider community and to actively encourage parental involvement in their child’s education
